Jason Henderson
Professor of Soil Science
Education
PhD, Crop and Soil Sciences, 2003, Michigan State University
MS, Crop and Soil Sciences, 2000, Michigan State University
BS, Agricultural Systems Management, 1997, Pennsylvania State University
Research Interests
- Pesticide-free management methods
- Turfgrass establishment techniques to minimize establishment periods and maximize traffic tolerance
- Soil modification techniques to optimize the root zone’s ability to support turfgrass growth and provide a traffic tolerant surface
- Develop new laboratory methods to accurately assess suitability of root zone constituents prior to constructing or modifying high quality turfgrass areas
- Innovate management methods for high quality turfgrass areas to minimize cost and optimize performance, sustainability, and safety
Teaching Program
SPSS 3150, Advanced Turfgrass Management
