This summer a group of PSLA Graduate Students are working with Tri-County Greenhouse in Storrs, CT to revitalize a garden to plant pumpkins for a gigantic pumpkin contest hosted by the PSLA Graduate Student Association. Here PSLA graduate student Matt Schillberg and the manager of the nursery Chris Campbell talk about the garden space and plan out the layout of the future pumpkin patch.

The Department of Plant Science & Landscape Architecture would like to congratulate Dr. Julia Kuzovkina on her appointment as Interim Department Head.

Dr. Kuzovkina has been part of the UConn Department of Plant Science & Landscape Architecture since 2005, and has held several leadership roles in UConn’s mission areas of teaching, research, and extension. Her research with native seeds, willows, and biodiversity has received international recognition and made impacts both at home and abroad. She leads PSLA's Early College Experience Program, and acts as department contact for our Graduate Students, as well. As an active member in the department, she is a strong advocate for the programs and curriculum offered by the Department of Plant Science and Landscape Architecture.
